HOW TO SUPPLEMENTAL: PROJECT X.
‘X’ PART 2

What are the chances you'll run into someone you know?
On a website, I calculated my odds. Out of the 2,000 people who go to my school, I know at least 23. According to the site, there’s a 36.875% chance I'll run into someone. Of those 23, about five had the "X" word attached to them, making it roughly a 12% chance I'd notice them getting off the bus, seeing them in a class, or bumping into them in the hallway. But recently, all head-spinning math and percentages be damned, I managed to see all of my school exes in less than eight hours.
I hate school.
After entering the doorway of my social studies class, I scanned the room for a spot to sit after a previous breakup that had happened two days before. And sitting at our usual table
was Aerial Borden (X-BFF). I was pissed, scared, and mostly hurt. Apparently, she didn't know the basic rules of a breakup. At the top of every list, in blaring letters, were the words
NO CONTACT. Even though a few of the letters of our friendship were struck dead in a matter of months, when the final one was laid to rest, it was over. The one relationship that wasn’t supposed to end; and like an office romance gone sour, I still had to see her...
Meanwhile, on the other side of the school, my friend Jessica was on the phone, dealing with her famously dramatic ex, the mexicant. She was yelling at him for his regular list of
things like: He can't stop lying, cheating, or being dramatic. But most importantly, she can't get over him. He was her first, she was his first (at least, that's what he told her), and she
couldn't get over him no matter what he said. Even if she encounters the perfect rebound, like Jerami Grant, she lets the ball slip out her fingertips, and bounce it out of bounds just as she's about to score.
"I know he’s sweet but he just makes me so angry!" she said. "It’s like now that we’re broken up, he’s rubbing the fact that he has other girls that he flirts with in my face. Then, when I ignore him, he turns around and posts online that 'he doesn’t feel like being on this earth anymore—'"
I accidentally laughed. Al-Qaeda wasn’t this good at holding hostages.
{ Side note: I’ll be putting the ‘X’ Series on hold until the end of December, where I’ll have a Limited Christmas series Called: The 12 Dates of Christmas }
