How To Supplemental : Short Spooky post.

( Side note:  This was supposed to be a post that was meant for Halloween last year on my blog but didn't make the cut IMOP for various reasons. Still I wanted to post it so I can get something off of my ever expanding to-do list,
 so here it is )

ARE WE AFRAID OF..?

Monsters, aliens, ghouls, and goblins—why are we afraid?

TBH where every single one of my fears came from..

We fear the unblinking stare that lingers for too long, a smile that's just a bit too wide. We fear the grim reality of death that reminds us the end is neigh, waiting with every inhale and telling us that                                                             "This might be your last" with every exhale.

This is apart of the human condition: the fear of life and death.
But why must we fear these things? Why do we fear the past, a missing body part, teeth, and eyes? And why do we fear the Bogey man and Frankenstein when in reality, their monstrous actions can often mirror our own?

This is where the true terror lies. Maybe the paranoia doesn't come from the supernatural but from our own guilt as a species. It's not the fear of the dark, but what's in it.
And what if the thing in the dark... is us?

ARE WE AFRAID OF...THE UNKNOWN AND OURSELVES?

And is that the ultimate fear? That in the dark we don't know which thought will confront us in our most vulnerable states akin to sleep or death, where we let the subconscious take over. We fear that maybe when it does, it will do unto others what we've always known, deep down, we are capable of.
